Alexis Howe
I was born in Sayre, PA in 2002 with a spark of adventure and creativity. I grew up surrounded by nature, hunting, fishing, and farming. Through my illustrations and mixed media creation, I strive to share my perspective of life in an educational way. My work is meant to shed light on many lifestyles for a better understanding of not only nature, but the way people can connect with it. My process typically begins on paper and evolves into a recreation of nature through digital and traditional mediums, as well as taxidermy. My work has been featured in a variety of competitions and exhibitions, including the 2022 and 2024 Pennsylvania Taxidermy Shows, the 2023 Ohio Taxidermy Show, the Seasons Taproom exhibition in 2023, and more!
While my work is heavily wildlife based, i'm always looking for new subjects to portray. Learning new mediums is important to me and my process, but honing in my skills on old mediums is just as important.
